On August 23, the Ministry of Economy announced the inclusion of the “Malyn-West” industrial park in the Industrial Parks Registry, as per the Cabinet of Ministers’ directive dated 19.08.2022 No. 728-r.
The “Malyn-West” industrial park is located on the outskirts of the city of Malyn, in the Zhytomyr region. The park covers an area of 15 hectares, with potential expansion to 33 hectares, and has a planned operational period of 30 years.
The park’s history dates back to 2019, when the Malyn City Council initiated its creation.
Our team has supported the Malyn City Council at every stage of the park’s preparation and development. In 2019, our team, together with the U-Lead with Europe program, Evon Group, and Polish experts, developed a conceptual master plan and feasibility study for the park.
In December 2020, the “Malyn-West” industrial park joined our team’s interregional project, the “Western Industrial Cluster Network,” which won the EU Sectoral Support competition. This project aimed to prepare sites for launching five industrial parks in the Zhytomyr, Ternopil, and Rivne regions, including the “Malyn-West” industrial park. Through this project, the park’s concept was developed, allowing it to be registered in the official Registry. The priority types of economic activities for the industrial park include machinery manufacturing. As well as woodworking, food processing, light industry, and other economic activities. In the future, the “Malyn-West” industrial park is expected to create 866 jobs. It will significantly contribute to the industrial and socio-economic development of the Malyn municipal community. Additionally, it will benefit the Zhytomyr region as a whole.
Next steps include actively working to connect the park to power grids and other utilities. Simultaneously, we aim to attract a managing company and participants for the industrial park.
