USAID’s Competitive Economy Program (CEP).
Program implemented by KIMONICS International, seeks grant applications for activities to support the participation of Ukrainian businesses in international trade events, including foreign trade missions and attendance and participation in exhibitions, conferences, congresses, business-to-business (B2B) and other business events, as well as international trade events in Ukraine (e.g., buyer missions, business conferences, innovation competitions, etc.). Participation of Ukrainian businesses in these events will enable and facilitate the restoration and intensification of export sales, attract investment, expand access to foreign markets, investors and financing, and help identify new business opportunities to exploit. These efforts will help Ukrainian enterprises overcome the crisis caused by the war, ensure business continuity and resilience, and help small and medium-sized enterprises sustain their businesses and ultimately support the Ukrainian economy.
Grant amount: from USD 20 to 75 thousand.
Deadlines for project submission:
- until September 19, 2022
- until September 30, 2022
- until November 25, 2022
The program actively supports Ukrainian producers in international trade events. This includes the organization of exhibitions, business forums. As well as trade missions where Ukrainian producers can present their products. Establish new contacts and conclude agreements with international partners.
Through such events, Ukrainian entrepreneurs can:
- Improve visibility in international markets – the program facilitates participation in international trade events and fairs, which allows them to showcase their products to a large audience.
- Find new partners – thanks to trade missions, manufacturers can communicate directly with potential customers and partners and sign new contracts.
- Learn about global requirements – by participating in international events, manufacturers learn about standards and requirements in different markets, which helps them improve the quality of their products.
It also provides advisory support, helping entrepreneurs develop export strategies and prepare for international events.
