USAID Competitive Economy of Ukraine (KEU)
The USAID KEU program is aimed at supporting startups and small and medium enterprises (SMEs), increasing their competitiveness in both domestic and international markets. The program to create a favorable environment for the development of business processes and opens up opportunities for Ukrainian companies to participate in international trade. Particular attention is paid to sectors that have the potential for rapid growth, higher incomes and job creation, taking into account environmental sustainability.
The USAID KEU program supports the development of key sectors such as:
- Information Technology (IT)
- Furniture production
- Tourism
- Film and creative industries
- Food industry
A key element is to support the development of knowledge and skills in business and export, and to provide access to finance for companies seeking to grow and enter international markets. Within the framework of the program, grants are provided to business associations, entrepreneurship development organizations, as well as SME support to increase competitiveness.
Program activities and focus on current sectors
USAID KEU is currently focused on supporting information technology, engineering, furniture, textiles, zoo industry, cosmetics, household goods. And food industry and electronic equipment. In the creative industries, the program focuses on areas such as film. As well as audio, critical materials, fashion, and craft products. However, the program is open to applications from other sectors that meet the criteria and contribute to the development of the Ukrainian economy.
USAID KEU also provides grants for the development of business processes. Organizational potential, production, sales, digital and trade opportunities for individual entrepreneurs and private enterprises in Ukraine.
