One of the key tasks of the Zhytomyr Regional Development Agency is to support communities. This includes increasing the investment appeal of the region by attracting investment and credit resources, as well as international technical assistance for regional development. This is achieved through the writing and preparation of projects (grants/project proposals, etc.) for donors.
Therefore, we would like to share one of our focus areas—assisting and supporting communities in writing and preparing projects (grants/project proposals, etc.) for donors.
The “Community at 100%” competition is an opportunity to win material support for the implementation of important and beneficial local initiatives within the Zhytomyr region. More detailed information is available on the competition website.
Why is this important?
In the context of the full-scale invasion, communities have felt the significant influx of crisis humanitarian response and resources. However, over time and with new challenges and the processes of European integration, the phase of humanitarian response is concluding, and a systematic, institutional approach is beginning. We, in turn, are supporting this direction within our region.
For example, we were inspired by a project initiated by the Head of the Andrushky Village Territorial Community, aimed at creating a social bakery called “Made with Love.” We decided to provide support for the thorough preparation of a project application for this community.
“How delightful is the aroma of homemade bread, especially when this fragrant loaf is baked on the main street of one’s own village. The Andrushky community has taken its first step towards having its own bakery,” commented the Head of the Community.
The Zhytomyr Regional Development Agency assisted in writing the project application. This joint project will mark the beginning of the journey from a small dream to a grand success.
