In Zhytomyr region, the construction industry is an important sector of the economy that is actively developing thanks to investment projects and infrastructure construction. This construction industry overview explores key trends, investment potential, and key challenges.
In February 2020, the average nominal salary of a full-time employee of enterprises, institutions, and organizations was UAH 8734 in Zhytomyr region, which is 1.8 times higher than the minimum wage (UAH 4723).
The average salary in the construction industry is UAH 6348, which is 1.7% higher compared to January 2020. However, it is 1.9% less compared to February 2019.

The unemployment rate in Zhytomyr region in 2019 was 9.6%, or approximately 55.5 thousand people, which is a possible reserve for industries that will develop in Zhytomyr region, including the construction industry.
No industry can develop effectively without new specialists.

Thus, we have seen that the construction industry in Zhytomyr region has sufficient resources for development. The average salary is much lower than the average salary in Ukraine, which significantly reduces the cost of construction in Zhytomyr region.
