The meeting at Zhytomyr State University centered on the theme of “Capable Governance on the Path to EU Integration.”
So far, in the first round of registration, which closed on May 26, 2024, representatives of 43 out of 66 communities have applied to join the course.
In percentage terms, this is 65% of the total number of communities. In total, there are 146 registered participants.
Today, Zhytomyr State University hosted a meeting with the heads of Zhytomyr Oblast communities chaired by First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Kornienko on the topic of “Capable Governance on the Way to the EU”.
The event was joined by the Head of the Zhytomyr Regional State Administration, representatives of the Zhytomyr Regional State Administration, Vitaliy Bezgin, MP of the Verkhovna Rada. The Zhytomyr Regional Council, the Consulate of the Republic of Estonia in Zhytomyr. As well as representatives of Zhytomyr Oblast’s territorial communities also attended.
They talked about opportunities and goals for local communities in the context of European integration. In particular, they discussed the importance of developing project management in communities. At the stage of training project managers.
In this vein, a project management course for Zhytomyr region communities, to be implemented with the support of the Estonian Center for International Development (ESTDEV). IT is extremely important.
