The average nominal salary of a full-time employee of enterprises, institutions and organizations in February 2020 was UAH 8,734 in the Zhytomyr region, which is 1.8 times higher than the minimum wage (UAH 4,723).
The average salary in the construction industry is UAH 6,348, which is 1.7% more than in January 2020. However, if compared with February 2019, it is 1.9% less.

The unemployment rate in the Zhytomyr region in 2019 was 9.6%, or approximately 55,500 persons, which is a possible reserve for industries that will develop in the Zhytomyr region, including and for the construction industry.
No industry will be able to develop effectively without new specialists. Training of specialists is carried out in the following educational institutions:
1) The Construction College of the Polis National University (http://bkzt.at.ua) trains specialists in the fields of: “Construction and Civil Engineering”.
2) Zhytomyr Agricultural Technical College (http://zhatk.zt.ua) trains specialists in the fields of: “Construction and Civil Engineering”.
3) Zhytomyr Automobile and Road College of the National Transport University (http://zadk.ucoz.ua/) trains specialists in the fields of: “Construction, operation, and repair of roads and airfields”, “Operation and repair of lifting and transport, construction, road machines, and equipment”.

Thus, we saw that the construction industry in the Zhytomyr region has sufficient resources for development. The average salary is much lower than the average salary in Ukraine, which significantly lowers the cost of construction in the Zhytomyr region.
